Calculating Bandwidth
Use the below drop downs to calculate HDMI bandwidth for any given resolution. HDMI Bandwidth is calculated by multiplying the number of vertical pixels (plus vertical blanking), horizontal pixels (plus horizontal blanking), bit depth per channel and finally the frame rate.
HDMI Bandwidth becomes more complicated when accounting for chroma subsampling and video compression as this will alter the bits required per pixel beyond a simple calculation.
